Stationery:
At the start of each year, parents pay a stationery fee for their son’s stationery for the year. You will be notified of the amount. (It is advisable for boys to bring extra stationery such as pens, pencils etc.)
Admission Fee:
Once you have made the decision to send your son to DBCS and you have received an acceptance letter from our Headmaster, you will be required to pay a R10 000.00 admission fee in order to guarantee your son’s booking. This admission fee must be paid within 14 days of the date on his acceptance letter. If it is not paid within the allotted time, your son will be placed on a waiting list and his place at DBCS will not be guaranteed. Please note: as numbers in our school are extremely limited, paying your admission fee is your only guarantee of us reserving his place.
Trusts, Sponsors and Other Fee Payers:
All fees remain the responsibility of parents or legal guardians at all times. In the event of a delay, DBCS cannot wait for administrative work in order to obtain the monies. It is your responsibility to ensure that all applications, administrative work and documents are in order timeously and if the process is delayed to pay the fees when due. All fees are payable up-front, in advance for the year, term or month ahead.
Bursaries:
New boy bursaries are limited. It is difficult for the DBCS to invest in a new boy who has not as yet proved himself. DBCS has a limited number of bursaries available. It is the parent’s responsibility to request bursary application forms and to ensure that all the necessary documents are submitted by no later than August of the preceding year. Late applications will not be considered.
